Headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., Tree.com is the parent of LendingTree, LLC and operates several businesses including LendingTree.com, LendingTree Loans sm, GetSmart.com, HomeLoanCenter.com, RealEstate.com, and iNest.com. LendingTree, LLC (formerly, LendingTree, Inc.) was incorporated in the state of Delaware in June 1996 and commenced nationwide operations in July 1998. LendingTree, Inc. was acquired by IAC in 2003 and converted to a Delaware limited liability company (LendingTree, LLC) in December 2004.
